Welcome to our website!

The Chelmer Cycling Club truly is a 'club for everyone'. We pride ourselves on catering for absolute beginners, weekend casual riders, to out and out racers who 'live on their bikes'.

Whether you are looking for racing, coaching & training, leisure & tour cycling, family rides, group training rides, a great social atmosphere with year round social & racing events, or simply a club to belong to where you will always be welcomed no matter how often you take to the road, then we at ‘Chelmer’ have the answer!

We are a British Cycling 'Clubmark Go Ride' Club and also hold 'Club SX Gold' Accreditation from 'Essex Active Sports.' Because of these coveted kite-mark standards, you can be assured our club has all the policies in place to provide the best practises and experience for you and all our members.

HELP THE CHELMER GET A £1000 GRANT!!

Chelmsford BC has launched a 'Grand Awards' scheme where residents and others can vote for their favourite scheme to get a grant of up to £1000. The Chelmer is one of three in the first running of the scheme so go to www.chelmsfordgrandawards.co.uk and cast your vote, and get all your friends and/or relatives to do the same - you don't have to be a borough resident for your vote to count.

News

This month's 'First Wednesday Club Night' will be on the 18th January.

For your delight this month, 'German' Michael will be conducting tests on the lights currently available in the market place. So if you are undecided or want to upgrade this could be for you. By the same token if you have a set of lights you think are fantastic and believe they should be seen bring them along for tests.

We shall also be holding a 'cycle bring and buy' sale, so if you haven't gotten round to selling those bike bits you don't need bring them with you......

Antony promises to be on hand with the club clothing selection.

And finally for the culinary section, it's chilli night and polishing off what beer we have in the fridge.... More is of course welcome if you care to bring it along and the chilli will be featuring a vegetarian version.......

So in the words of TC .... COME ON!! See you there from 8.00 pm onwards.
