The CX season has begun, with the Chelmer CC event at Springfield
The CX Eastern league has begun with the Chelmer CC event at Springfield. And what a day it was!
The weather was sunny, the ground dry and fast and there were plenty of entrants in all races, giving some great competition on a hot day. With a friendly, supportive atmosphere and lots of smiles from both the competitors and their supporters, it was a great season opener. Fabulous.
Massive thanks to Russell Tribley for organising the event and making such a great course. Well done to the 14 Chelmer riders who took part in the various races and a big 'Thank You' to all the club members and volunteers who turned up to help and support. It couldn't have happened without you.
In all, there were 285 participants from across the region enjoying the racing, including 105 under 16’s. It's great to have a good number of competitors and to see young cyclists enjoying our sport. Well done to you all.
