GP Des Gentlemen 2-up TTT
The Chelmer CC GP Des Gentlemen 2-up TTT took place on Sunday
The club's annual open Grand Prix Des Gentlemen 15 mile 2up TTT was this Sunday, going from Leaden Roding to Writtle and back.
The club had a number of pairings competing, some in their first ever TT, and others pinning on a number for their first TT in decades; such is the draw and uniqueness of the event. The faster rider paces the slower rider of the pair for 14 miles and then the slower rider does the last mile on their own.
Thanks to David and Lauren for organising and the marshals and timekeepers for making it happen. In particular a special mention for John Cottee who officially ‘retired’ from his timekeeping duties after more years than anyone can remember. THANK YOU John for your services to the sport.
Congratulations to 2nd claim member Richard Mellor (riding with Ramsey Kechacha) who was the fastest overall (34.12).
The clubs fastest pairing were Andrew and Sandra Reid (42.12), followed by Simon Quick (with Gary Jackson )(43.04), Martin Painter and Matthew Martin (45.01) and Nick Lyons and Holly Thompson (45.49).
